Francis deSouza is the Chief Operating Officer and President of Security Products at Google Cloud. He joined Google in January 2025 after three decades as an engineer, technology executive, security expert, entrepreneur, board member and investor.
Prior to Google, Francis was the CEO of Illumina, where he led the company's growth and innovation in DNA sequencing. He also served as President at Symantec and co-founded three companies: SynthLabs, IMlogic (acquired by Symantec), and Flash Communications (acquired by Microsoft).
