Name: Manon Racine

Title: Head of Speaker & Media Experience

How long you have been at HumanX: 1 year 🧁

What’s your background, and what brought you to HumanX?

I started my career running high-profile corporate events for Accenture in Dublin & Paris, creating experiences that blended creativity, logistics, and top-tier guest management. I then spent 6 years at Web Summit, running events across 3 continents and helping grow combined attendance from 110,000 to 160,000. I started by managing VIPs, ensuring a seamless, first-class experience, and later led the investor experience team, delivering a premium end-to-end journey for high-profile investors, from personalized pre-event communication to on-site support and post-event engagement.

Those years taught me just how important the attendee experience is at events. So when the opportunity came to join a startup and build that experience for speakers & media from scratch, I knew it was the perfect chance to bring everything I’d learned into a brand-new context.

How would you describe HumanX in 3 words?

La crème de la crème… ah, I guess that’s five words.

What’s been your favorite HumanX moment so far?

Meeting the team in person in Vegas. We all work remotely from different countries, and I met most of them for the first time the day before our very first conference. For anyone skeptical about remote work, well, we pulled off one hell of a debut event, all from our home offices.

How has AI changed the way you work?

AI has boosted my productivity SO much. If something isn’t working, whether it’s a formula in Google Sheets or a bit of code in a script, what used to take hours of digging through forums now takes seconds with AI. I drop the problem into ChatGPT, get the fix, and move on. It’s also pushed my work further by suggesting improvements I hadn’t thought of. You know that line at the end: “Do you want me to…”? Hell yes, be my guest!

It’s like having a super-fast problem-solver and creative partner on call 24/7 🦸

What’s a skill or lesson you’ve learned while working at HumanX?

When you work in a small team of 20, you quickly learn how to figure things out: no manuals, no hand-holding. It’s learning by doing, and honestly, it’s the best school I’ve ever had. I’ve always loved automating processes, but in just 1 year at HumanX I’ve leveled that up big time: teaching myself Zapier, Make.com, and Google Apps Script to connect tools, cut manual work, and make things run smoother behind the scenes.

What’s one playlist or podcast that gets you through the day?

Spotify Daylist: it’s a wild ride. I can start the morning with classic French tunes, drift into 2000s US R&B, and wrap the day with some chilled electro. Some days it takes me from Céline Dion to Alicia Keys to Lost Frequencies in just a few hours, and I’m all here for it.
