David Cox leads IBM’s AI model strategy, development and training program at IBM Research, one of the largest and most influential corporate research labs in the world. He pioneered the creation of IBM’s flagship family of performant Granite foundation models and leads the team that advances IBM’s AI innovation roadmap. He is also the IBM Director of the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, a first of its kind industry-academic collaboration between IBM and MIT, focused on fundamental AI research.
