Craig Mermel is President and Chief Product Officer at Precision Neuroscience. He oversees Precision’s product development and path to patient application, as well as the company’s use of data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. A pathologist trained in the study of cancer genomics, Mermel specializes in the application of machine learning in healthcare. He was previously at Google, where he led a team exploring the use of artificial intelligence to diagnose and treat cancer. Before that, Mermel spent four years at Apple, helping to develop health and fitness features for the Apple Watch. Together with Precision's Ben Rapoport, Mermel co-founded the digital health company Simbionics, which developed pioneering health software for wearable technology and was acquired by Apple in 2014. He holds an MD and PhD in genetics from Harvard University.
