Blog HumanX 2025 Kicks Off: Game-Changing Insights, Bold Predictions, and the Future of AI Unfolding

HumanX hit the ground running for its inaugural event, bringing together a global community of AI professionals, enthusiasts, and thought experts. Day one saw some truly outstanding talks featuring superstars like Mike Krieger (CPO, Anthropic), Arsalan Tavakoli-Shiraji (Co-founder & SVP of Field Engineering, Databricks), Drew Houston (Co-Founder & CEO, Dropbox), Kevin Weil (CPO, OpenAI), and Terah Lyons (Managing Director & Global Head of AI Policy, JPMorgan Chase)–to name a few.

But what were the key takeaways that defined the first day of this premiere conference, and how do the biggest names in the industry foresee the future of AI?

Let’s jump in.

See a Need, Fill a Need

Across the board, our speakers discussed innovation–specifically how innovation lies at the very heart of all successful AI products. In order to build an impactful AI tool, it’s imperative that you observe the current issues in today’s existing processes. This is more than just having a groundbreaking idea; it’s about fully understanding the nuances of today’s issues and identifying how AI can improve it. From there, the magic happens.

AI: Enhancing the Creative Process

It’s a commonly held belief that AI and the creative process are always at odds with one another, but art is about disruption–and there is no bigger disruptor in our world right now than AI. From Demi Guo (CEO, Pika) to John Milinovich (Head of GenAI Product at Canva), several of our day one panels explored the idea of AI as an augmentation–not an antagonist–to creativity. Individuals who previously were unable to express themselves creatively due to price and accessibility barriers can now produce works easier, cheaper, and faster with AI.

We’ve Been Here Before

Every era of technological development has been met with criticism and fear among the masses, from electrification of the United States to the introduction of the automobile. The era of AI is no different. What has changed, however, is the unbridled capability to disseminate information within a matter of seconds. Though it won’t happen overnight, we have the technology at our fingertips to help sway public opinion and share information about AI. The more we help everyone–not just tech specialists–understand AI, the more we improve its public image.

Agents are Only the Beginning

AI agents and chatbots are spreading like wildfire among today’s businesses, transforming the relationship between companies and their customers. From workflow automation to providing real-time retail suggestions, there seems to be no limit to what AI agents and chatbots can do. However, this is only the threshold for what today’s AI giants have in mind. As practical generative AI continues to progress on a near-daily basis, we are already witnessing the evolution of AI use cases. What’s trending now will likely be obsolete by this time next year.

In addition to the thematic elements of day one, there were also several significant announcements that took place, including the following:

  • Digits is taking on QuickBooks and Xero with the world’s first AI-powered Autonomous General Ledger (AGL)

  • Zensai revealed The Human Success Score: "The Strava for Work" at HumanX 2025
