Ringing in the Era of AI: HumanX at the NYSE
The New York Stock Exchange invited members of HumanX to ring the daily bell.
In celebration of its inaugural event, key members of the HumanX team were invited to visit the New York Stock Exchange and ring the iconic bell on Tuesday, March 15th. After delivering a timely and poignant speech about the intersection of AI and today’s market, CEO and Co-Founder of HumanX Stefan Weitz had the honor to set off the bell–not only to kickstart the trading day, but to signify something just as dynamic: the beginning of a new, AI-powered era.
The field of artificial intelligence has existed for decades, with roots dating all the way back to the 1950’s, but there’s no arguing that the current AI boom is dominating our everyday lives–from digital assistants in our phones to search engine results–and will continue to touch other areas as the technology develops. However, this recent wave of AI has also been met with pushback and controversy, as many individuals fear that AI will render human input obsolete.
It is this notion that sparked the creation of HumanX, an event that enforces the symbiotic relationship between humans and machines in the AI age. “AI alone won’t just change the world,” said Weitz during his opening speech on Tuesday, “that’s what people have to do. People who use it, people who harness its power responsibly, with purpose, and with strategy. That’s why we built HumanX.”
Indeed, the name HumanX comes from the idealism that humankind is exponentially more powerful and capable with technological innovation at our side–we just have to be willing to take that step. Weitz continued to describe the thesis of the HumanX conference: “At HumanX, our message is clear: Make your fate. AI isn’t something happening to us. It’s something we must shape, lead, and master—together.”
With any great power comes great responsibility, and AI is no exception. That’s why HumanX’s content is led by today’s foremost pioneers, builders, and decision makers in the AI space: to build the roadmap for humanity and AI to thrive together. In order to make this relationship work, we need to build familiarity, trust, and understanding of AI among the public–and who better to fulfill this need than the individuals defining the industry today?
“This floor—the epicenter of global markets—isn’t just about numbers,” Weitz explained at the NYSE, “It’s about trust. It’s about understanding risk. It’s about betting on the future. And right now, the future is being written by AI.”
Wherever your feelings on the great AI debate fall, the technology won’t be going away anytime soon, which begs the question: do you intend to run from it, or learn from it?
Our thanks to the New York Stock Exchange for the honor of ringing the bell, showcasing some of the incredible minds behind HumanX, and giving us the platform to illustrate why our event is more than another conference; it’s a direct path to the future.
